With SAP flagging changes to its user licensing policy, focusing on authorisations instead of usage, software asset management solution provider Snow Software has entered into a partnership with German IT service provider Akquinet to together offer solutions for governance, risk and compliance management, license optimisation and authorisation-based licensing management.
By combining the companies’ respective SAP-certified solutions – Snow Optimizer for SAP Software and Akquinet SAST suite – customers will obtain insight into SAP licenses and authorisations, increase security and compliance, and manage authorisations in their SAP systems, according to Snow and Akquinet. In addition to ensuring compliance with GDPR, they will also be prepared for the new USMM (user measurement tool) to be released by SAP later this year.
“With Akquinet, we have an established IT service provider wth many years of SAP consulting knowledge on our side. Together, we offer customers greater security in the areas of SAP license and authorisation management and at the same time significantly reduce their costs and administrative effort,” said Joachim Paulini, lead architect for Snow Optimiser for SAP software.
Ralf Kempf, technical director of SAST Solutions at Akquinet adds: “Through this alliance with Snow, we are taking a significant step forward in SAP security and compliance. In addition to secure system configuration and the optimised role scope in authorisation management by SAST, the license measurement by Snow enables customers to have comprehensive monitoring of licenses, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.”
