License Compliance

Reconciliation simply means comparing your software installed data (from your software audit tool)
combined with any software usage (from thin client or virtualised desktops) to the number of licenses you own.
The results of this exercise will indicate whether you need to purchase more licenses, or conversely, whether you have surplus licenses which can be legitimately reallocated elsewhere in your organisation.
EasySAM has a wealth of experience in providing the most appropriate asset tracking tools and business practices to ensure this becomes an easily maintained component of your every day management processes.
According to Gartner Group, most organisations will have between 20% and 20% of the software underlicensed, and 30% of software will be overlicensed. Using EasySAM to carry out a license compliance review can reduce the risk associated with the former and realise the cost savings associated with the latter.
Testimonials
“I decided to use EasySAM to carry out a license assessment instead of our incumbent provider, as I didn't want any conflict of interest. Their independence and experience meant that EasySAM really stood out form the crowd.”
“We were members of FAST for 5 years, and had achieved Platinum status. As part of our due diligence, we engaged with EasySAM to validate the output of the FAST program. They identified over 20 software applications we were underlicensed for, and a further 32 applications we were overlicensed for. Needless to say we stopped paying our FAST membership fees, and now have an annual assessment with EasySAM”
“Following an audit request from IBM, we asked EasySAM to carry out an independent assessment of our licensing. They were extremely professional, and handled every stage of the audit, from the gathering of usage and entitlement data, through to presenting the finalised report back to IBM. They were a lot less intrusive than IBM's preferred audit partner, and completed the audit in less than half the time.”
